Aromatherapy is the inhalation and application of volatile essential oils from aromatic plants to restore or enhance health, beauty and well-being.

Aromatherapy is a unique branch of herbal medicine that utilizes the medicinal properties found in the essential oils of various plants.

Aromatic oils from plants are used on the skin, inhaled, or mixed into bathwater. Specific oils, or combinations of oils, are employed to give specificeffects such as calming, pain relief, or energizing.

Aromatherapy refreshes and relaxes the skin while soothing the mind by helping to induce a sense of well-being. Each individual essence is used to produce a specific beneficial effect.

Applied to the skin—often in massage—or through inhalation, the oil or combination of oils can be used for medicinal, meditative, restorative or relaxation purposes.

Essential oils extracted from plants are either inhaled or absorbed directly through the skin to calm emotions and harmonize moods. It is also used as a supportive treatment for respiratory problems, skin disorders, and immune deficiencies.

Therapeutic use of essential oils to balance, rejuvenate and relax the body, mind and spirit. Aromatherapy helps improve the quality of life on an emotional, physical and spiritual level.

I have always had a connection to the Goddess and explore the many facets of Spirituality so along with my venture with Avalon Essences this blog is about my journey along my Spiritual Path ….. CHASING RAINBOWS….. plus sharing stories about my beautiful Spiritual friends.

I first got into making my own aromatherapy based products after venturing in and out of many Health Food Stores and not finding what I wanted so I would buy a variety of different oils and base products and mix to create my own blend.

I would also write down the ingredients I found in many so called ‘natural’ or ‘aromatherapy’ products and research them to find out what was actually in the product – this is when I realised people were not getting what they bargained for. I found many of the products contained chemicals and alcohols that dry out the skin or cause skin rashes.

This is when I decided to do something about it & create my own. It started just for me, then for family and friends but I kept getting orders for more so Avalon Essences was created.

All of my products are derived from plants, antioxidants, herbs, fragranced oils and essential oils for their therapeutic values; and do not contain harmful ingredients.

Avalon Essences is Australian owned and operated. My unique aromatherapy products are hand-made fresh in small batches without harmful chemicals, animal derivatives, harsh detergents or petroleum by-products.

I am always creating and adding new exciting products to my range.

This festival also proudly showcases local entertainment (Belly Dancing and Musical Troupes and Groups)

All their events are located indoors within the Weston Creek Community Centre so no matter whether it 4 or 40 degrees you will be dry and warm in the winter and cool in the summer, why not stay the whole day wonder through the eclectic mix of stalls and enjoy the fabulous local entertainment by musicians and dancers

Essential Oils for Psychic Work

Essential oils are essences derived from various plants. They can be used to beautify your environment, raise your vibration and enhance your psychic experiences.

You can put them in your bath, use them in candles and diffusers, or anoint yourself with them. The most traditional areas to anoint are the centre of the forehead and the crown. But you can also benefit from anointing your psychic centre, your chakras, your wrists, throat, ankles and the back of your neck.

Here are some of the most “essential” essential oils and their psychic and spiritual properties:

Cinnamon Essential Oil: Purifying, healing, empowering, protective. Stimulates visions, strengthens focus, attracts wealth, love and harmony. Opens Root Chakra, aids in connecting with guides. Associated with the Element of Fire. Be careful as it can be an irritant.
Frankincense Essential Oil: Uplifting, balancing, purifying, protective. Good for meditation and connecting with guides. Promotes enlightenment, multidimensional awareness, transcendence. Dispels negativity. Associated with the Element of Fire.
Jasmine Essential Oil: Balancing, inspiring, sensual. Attracts love, romance and sex. Stimulates psychic dreams, astral projection, creativity and visions. Encourages compassion and transcendence. Aids meditation. Associated with the Element of Water.
Lavender Essential Oil: Integrating, balancing, healing, protective, purifying. Aids meditation, stimulates dream recall and clairvoyance. Opens Third-Eye Chakra. Associated with the element of Air.
Mugwort: Psychic stimulant. Opens Root Chakra. Promotes visions, prophetic dreams, astral projection. Its difficult to find this special oil ~ if you see it somewhere please let me know – ta xx
Myrrh Essential Oil: Grounding, healing, protective, purifying. Clears blocks. Encourages enlightenment, transcendence. Good for meditation and blessings.
Patchouli Essential Oil: Grounding. Attracts money, love and sex. Dispels negativity, stimulates spiritual growth. Great for divination and self-hypnosis.
Rose Essential Oil: Cleansing, healing, balancing, protective. Opens Heart Chakra, attracts love. Stimulates creativity, assists in letting go. Use for divination and blessings.
Rosemary Essential Oil: Protective, cleansing, psychic stimulant. Opens Heart Chakra and Third-Eye Chakra. Promotes visions, creativity and past life-recall. Dispels negativity.
Sandalwood Essential Oil (when possible I prefer to use the Western Australian Sandalwood): Purifying, protective, healing. Opens Sacral Chakra. Good for meditation, astral projection, manifesting, blessings, house cleansings and releasing the past. Dispels negativity.
