We will have the usual stalls plus more in the beautiful outdoors so if you would like a stall you will need to provide your own shelter

Readers, Massage, Wellbeing, talks and presentations will be located indoors

MYSTICAL AVALON

It always seemed so magikal and close to me, and I often sent it wishes and chatted with her without knowing anything formal about its significance or its meaning at the time.

MAGICAL MOON PHASES

Moving with its natural course, through different phases and astrological signs, the moon has a particularly potent effect on witchcraft, energy, female energy, spirituality, and many different other thought processes, and believes.

Each cycle of the waxing and waning moon spans several days, and by being aware of each phase of the moon, you can add power to each ritual performed. …… I also recommend you note and think about how you feel and react during the different phases.

Dark of the Moon
From the time the moon is no longer visible to the naked eye until the new moon (known as the dark of the moon) is the most useful time for divination of all kinds.

The New Moon
This is an exceptional time to do witchcraft and rituals for new beginnings, and for the conception and initiation of new projects.

Waxing Moon
The waxing moon is appropriate for spells, ritual and ceramonies that involve growth, healing and increase.

The Full Moon
Known as the “high tide” of psychic power, The full moon represents culmination, climax, fulfilment and abundance.

Waning Moon
The waning moon is the best time for cleansing, banishing and completion.

A blue moon occurs about every two and a half years, making it a perfect time to do special magic and honor the Goddess.

This special ceremony can be conducted as a group or just as beautiful on your own. .

If with a group each member of the group brings an item to place on the altar that represents the warmth of the summer growing season. Some ideas would be:

• Fresh herbs or flowers
• Summer fruits such as strawberries, raspberries
• Solar symbols
• Sea water, sand or shells

Assign a member of the group to call each quarter. Each person should stand at their assigned quarter holding their unlit candle (and a lighter or matches), and facing the altar. If there are more than four of you present, form a circle.

• The person in the north quarter lights their candle (green if available), holds it to the sky, and says:

We call upon the powers of Earth,
and welcome you to this circle.
The sun’s heat has warmed the earth
and will bring us the bounty of the soil,
when the harvest time comes.

Place the candle on the altar.

• The person to the east should light her candle (yellow if available), hold it to the sky, and say:

We call upon the powers of Air,
and welcome you to this circle.
May the wind bring us fruitfulness
and togetherness of family and friends,
in this season of growth and light.

Place the candle on the altar.

• Moving to the south, light a red candle (if available) and hold it to the sky, saying:

 We call upon the powers of Fire,
and welcome you to this circle.
May the shining light of this season’s moon
illuminate our way at night,
as the sun has brightened our lives by day.

Place the candle on the altar.

• Finally, the person to the west lights a blue candle (if available), holds it to the sky, and says:

We call upon the powers of Water,
and welcome you to this circle.
Although the earth may become dry and parched
during the long hot weeks of summer,
we know that again the rains will come
and bring with them life.

Place the candle on the altar.

• Have everyone in the circle join hands and say:

We gather tonight by the light of the moon,
to celebrate the season, and rejoice.
May the next turn of the Wheel bring us love
and compassion, abundance and prosperity,
fertility and life.
As the moon above, so the earth below.

Go around the circle, share one thing they are looking forward to. Summer is a time of growth and development before the harvest arrives. What do you plan to manifest for yourself in the coming month? Now is the time to state your intent.

• Take a moment to reflect on the growth you’ve seen since Spring, in yourself and those around you.

The exact date of each solstice changes by a few days each year – this is because of our calendar system where we count years of 365 or 366 days, but the Earth takes 365.256 days to complete one orbit of the Sun.

The exact orbital and daily rotational motion of the Earth, such as the ‘wobble’ in the Earth’s axis, also contributes to the changing solstice dates.

The solstices occur because the rotation axis of the Earth is tilted by an angle of 23.5 degrees from the vertical.  If the Earth’s rotation was at right angles to the plane of its orbit around the Sun, there would be no solstice days and no seasons.

Around 21 June, the Sun is at its most northerly declination (+23.5 degrees). This corresponds to the northern summer solstice and marks the longest day of the year for northern hemisphere observers. In contrast, this is the date of the southern winter solstice and marks the shortest day of the year for southern hemisphere observers.

Six months later {TODAY}, the Sun is at its most southerly declination (-23.5 degrees) and the solstices are reversed in each hemisphere – ENJOY XX

The Spiritual Fair will be held on Saturday 5 December from 2pm to 8pm at the Pearce Community Centre in Collett Place, Pearce where the Church’s services are held.

Another great series of free talks will be part of the day and readers will also be available.

What is a Spirituality Church? The word ‘Church’ is a bit off-putting…

A Spirituality Church is similar to any church in that it offers a place for you to slip out of the rest of your busy life and find that place within you that knows how to connect with Spirit, how to trust the flow of your life and how to look at your life from a more loving, powerful and harmless perspective.

What it is not similar to would be a traditional church in a religious sense of the word. It is believed that one often travels through religious lives to spiritual lives – the difference being that Spirituality is about the expansion of Light, learning how to trust the connection to one’s own initiative and intuition and breaking free of the old religious man-made rules about duty, guilt, shame, segregation and authority.

We are all connected to God, Goddess, Great Spirit, Universal Light, Buddha, Mohammed, Jesus – whoever and whatever your belief system allows – and we also carry a spark of that divinity within us to develop and heal ourselves with, and the others.

To take our Light beyond us is our life purpose and in essence, it not what we do during our time on this planet – it is about who we are, and what we choose to project, every day.

At our church, the mood is light, meditative, healing and the music is contemporary and uplifting, with an interesting talk each service about an aspect of life and how to get the best out of it.

Then, at the end of a service is the medium, who, as someone connected to both the physical and the spiritual worlds (a bit like a telephone operator) can offer messages from either loved ones in Spirit or advice from your team of guides. Everyone has this ability, and these mediums are no different to you, except that they are using themselves as an instrument through which Light (and with it information, knowledge or healing) is passed – similar to a bridge between ‘heaven’ and ‘earth’. By learning how to clear a space within oneself, we can all use this ability.

We also offer mediumship, healing, reiki, spiritual and personal growth courses and classes for those who would like to develop their own inner wisdom and abilities, and am always happy to offer volunteer positions at Church for those who would like to now take their work beyond themselves.

In time, we will also be offering childcare for those who can only attend with their children, in particular single parents and a library will be re-established for those eager to learn and study.
